Beef Stroganoff
2 lbs Beef Chuck Roast 4 Tbsps Butter 3 Tbsps Canola Oil 1 Cup Onion 1 Cup Mushrooms 4 Tbsps All-Purpose Flour 1/3 Cup Sour Cream 2 Cups Beef Broth 1/3 Cup Red Wine 1 tsp Mustard 1 Tbsp Minced Garlic 1 tsp Salt ½ tsp Black Pepper Slice the beef into strips, season with salt and pepper and brown for 3 minutes. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside. Sauté the mushrooms and onions for 3 minutes. Now add the garlic and cook for an additional minute. Add the flour and mix until it is just browned. Pour in the beef broth, mustard and wine. Return the beef to the pan and cook on low heat for 1 hour 20 minutes stirring frequently. Turn off the heat after 1 hours and 20 minutes then allow it to sit for 5 minutes before adding the sour cream. Now it is ready to serve. |
