World's Best Lasagna Recipe

1 lb                 Ground Beef                         
1 lb                  Italian Sausage         
1/4 cup           Fresh Basil              
1                       Onion                        
3 cloves           Garlic                     
2-14.5oz          Diced Tomatoes    
2-6oz cans      Tomato Paste         
1 box                Lasagna                
1 cup                Beef Broth
2 Tbsps            Brown Sugar
2                        Eggs                    
1-15oz              Ricotta Cheese
1 lb                   Mozzarella Cheese
3/4 cup             Parmesan Cheese   
1-1/2 Tbsps     Dried Parsley
1/2 tsp               Salt
1/2 tsp               Black Pepper
1 tsp                  Oregano

​Preheat the oven to 375 degrees
 
Add the ground beef, Italian sausage, onion and garlic to a frying pan and brown for 5 minutes.  Season with salt pepper and oregano.  Add the diced tomatoes, tomato pastes and beef broth and mix well. Mix in the basil and brown sugar.  Cover then allow it to cook for 2 hours stirring occasionally.   In a separate bowl combine the ricotta cheese, parmesan cheese, eggs and parsley flakes.  Mix well then set it aside for later. To make the pasta follow the instructions on the package. After 2 hours remove meat sauce from the flame.  Spray a baking dish with cooking oil.  Place a layer of meat sauce then pasta, ricotta cheese mixture then mozzarella cheese.  Repeat with a second layer then top with parmesan cheese.  Cover with foil then transfer to the preheat oven and allow it to cook for 35 minutes.  After 35 minutes remove foil and top with the remaining mozzarella cheese and allow it to cook for an addition 5 minutes. After 5 minutes remove from the oven and it is ready to serve.
