​Blackeye Peas 
​
1 pkg       Blackeye Peas
2 tsps      Garlic Powder
3 tsps      Salt
3 tsp        Black Pepper
1 cup       Onion
1               Smoked Turkey Leg
 
 
Sort the peas in a bowl then soak overnight in 8 cups of water.   Add 6 cups of water to a pot.  Add pepper, garlic powder, salt, onion and turkey leg and cook for 10 minutes.  Add the peas and allow it to cook for 35 to 40 minutes stirring occasionally
