Fried Apple Pie
4 Granny Smith’s Apples Pie Crust/Puff Pastry Vegetable Oil (for frying) 6 Tablespoons Brown Sugar 2 Tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar 3 Tablespoons Butter ½ teaspoons All-Spice ¼ teaspoon Nutmeg 1teaspoon Cinnamon Peel the apple and cut into small pieces and set them aside until later. Melt the butter in a frying pan then add the apples, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, cinnamon and all-spice and cook on medium high heat until the liquid has reduced to a syrup like consistency. Divide the pastry into 3 10 inch strips. Place the apple on one end then fold over and pitch the edges to seal. Remove the excess dough. Heat the oil to 350 degrees then fry the pies until they are golden brown. |
