Green Beans and Potatoes
2 lbs String Beans 8 Small Potatoes 8 slices Bacon 3- ½ Cups Chicken Broth 2 Cups Water 1 Cup Onion 1 tsp Garlic Powder 1- ½ tsp Salt 2 tsps Black Pepper Rinse the string beans and pop into half then set aside. Rinse the potatoes and cut into quarters. In a frying pan, fry the bacon for 7 minutes or until crispy. Remove and set aside until later. In a separate pan add the beans, broth and water and cook for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes add the onion garlic powder, salt and pepper then cover and cook for 30 minutes stirring occasionally. After 30 minutes add the potatoes and bacon. Cover and cook for 1 hour stirring occasionally. |
