The Best Sweet Potato Pie Recipe
1 lb Sweet Potatoes 1 Cup Sugar ½ Cup Milk ½ Cup Butter 2 Eggs 1tsp Vanilla Extract ½ tsp Cinnamon ½ tsp Nutmeg 1 Uncooked Pie Crust Preheat Oven to 350 degrees Boil the sweet potato for 50 minutes. After 50 minutes rinse with cold water the allow the potato to sit for 10 minutes before removing the skin. Using a fork, poke holes in the pie crust then bake for 10 minutes. After ten minutes remove it from the oven and set it aside until later. In a mixing bowl cream together the sugar and butter. Next add the eggs and milk. Turn the mixer off then add the sweet potato, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla. Turn the mixer back on and mix until all the ingredients are just combined. Pour the batter into the pie crust then transfer to the preheated oven and allow it to cook for 50 minutes. |
