Meatballs Recipe
 
For the Meatballs:
1 lb                  Ground Beef
1 lb                  Ground Pork
¼ Cup              Fresh Parsley
½ Cup              Italian Bread Crumbs
½ Cup              Grated Parmesan Cheese
1 Tbsp             Olive Oil
1                      Egg
1 tsp                Garlic Powder
1 tsp                Black Pepper
1 tsp                Salt
 
For the Sauce:
 
¼ Cup              Onion
3 cloves           Garlic
1 Tbsp             Olive Oil
1- 28oz            Whole Peeled Tomatoes
1- 6oz              Tomato Paste
1 tsp                Basil
1 tsp                Oregano
½ tsp               Red Pepper Flakes
½ tsp               Onion Powder
1 tsp                Black Pepper
1 tsp                Salt
 
Season the meat with 1 tsp of salt, 1 tsp of black pepper and 1 tsp of garlic powder.  Add the egg, parsley and parmesan cheese and mix well.  Now shape the meat into balls.  In a frying pan bring 1 Tbsp of olive oil to temperature then brown the meatball for 5 minutes.  Remove meatballs from the pan and set aside.  In a separate pan add 1 Tbsp of olive oil and sauté the onion and garlic for 1 minute.  Next add the tomatoes and mix well.  Add the tomato paste and mix well.  Season the sauce with the basil, oregano, red pepper, onion powder, black pepper and salt.  Add the meatball to the pan and cover and allow them to simmer for 10 minutes stirring occasionally.
