Peach Cobbler
3lbs Peaches (frozen) 2 Pie Crust 1-1/4 Cups Granulated Sugar 1-1/4 Cups Brown Sugar 1 stick Butter 1 Tbsp Milk 1Tbsp Lemon Juice 1-1/2 tsps Vanilla Extract 1/8 tsp Nutmeg 1 tsp Cinnamon PreHeat Oven to 350 degrees Melt the butter in a large sauce pan or pot. Add the peaches and simmer for 3 minutes. Next add the granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Simmer on medium heat for 10 minutes stirring frequently. Reduce heat to low then add the vanilla and lemon juice. Turn off heat then slowly add the milk. Mix together ½ tsp of brown sugar and granulated sugar and sprinkle over pie crust. Gently rub the sugar into the dough. Next cut one of the pie crust into ½ in. strips. Place the uncut pie crust in the bottom of the baking pan and bake for 15 minutes. Add the peaches to the pan then add the strips of pie crust over the peaches. Return to oven and bake for 40 minutes or until crust is golden brown. |
