Peach Cobbler
3lb bag Frozen Peaches 1 box Pie Crust 1-1/4 Cup Granulated Sugar 1-1/4 Cup Brown Sugar 1 stick of Butter 1 Tbsp Milk 1-1/2 tsp Vanilla 1/8 tsp Nutmeg 1 tsp Cinnamon ½ Tbsp Lemon Juice |
PreHeat oven to 350 degrees
Melt butter in a large pan or pot then add peaches. Next add granulated sugar and brown sugar. Add cinnamon and nutmeg. Simmer on medium heat for 10 minutes stirring frequently.
Reduce heat to low then add vanilla and lemon juice. Turn off heat then slowly add milk while stirring.
For the crust: Unroll the crust on a clean surface. In a small bowl mix together ½ tsp of granulated sugar and ½ tsp of brown sugar. Lightly dust each pie crust with the sugar then gently rub to embed sugar into dough. Now cut one of the pie crust into 1-1/2 inch strips. Place the uncut pie crust in the bottom of a baking pan then bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown. After 15 minutes remove from the oven and add the peach to the pan. Place the cut pie crust over top of the peaches then return the pan to the oven and bake for 40 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
