Salisbury Steak
1 ½ lbs Ground Beef 1 Egg 1 med. Onion ½ Cup Bread Crumbs ½ Cup Beef Broth 1 can French Onion Soup 1 Cup Mushrooms 1 Tbsp All-purpose Flour 1 Tbsp Ketchup 1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce 1 tsp Salt 1 tsp Pepper ½ tsp Garlic Salt ½ tsp Ground Mustard |
Add the bread crumbs, egg, salt, pepper, garlic salt and ground mustard to the ground beef and mix well. Form the ground beef into oval shaped patties and set aside. In a separate bowl combine the flour, onion soup, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup and beef broth. Whisk until all of the flour has dissolved. Cook the ground steaks for 5 minutes then remove them from the pan. Sauté the onions and mushrooms for 3 minutes. Pour in the gravy mixture then return the ground steaks to the pan. Reduce heat to medium low, cover and allow the steaks to cook for 10 minutes on each side.
