Southern Fried Fish Recipe

This is an easy recipe for Southern Fried Fish. For this video the fish of choice is Red Snapper but this recipe could be used for any white fish. This deep fried fish recipe is easy to make and has a satisfying flavor. Your fish will come out delicious and crispy every time. Try this recipe and it will become your favorite fried fish recipe for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

INGREDIENTS FOR SOUTHERN FRIED FISH
This fish recipe is so easy to make. It only require a few ingredients that can easily be found in your refrigerator and pantry. For this recipe we used red snapper fish but I have used other fish such as tilapia and catfish using this same recipe.

Make Sure your fish has been descaled. For the red snapper the fish was descaled at the market.

Mix all of your dry ingredient together.

Mix all of your wet ingredients together as well. Dredge the fish in the wet ingredient first then the dry.

After preheating your oil, fry the fish until it is crispy and golden brown. This fish recipe is so. easy to make and your family will love it.

Southern Fried Fish Recipe

1 ½ lb     Red Snapper
1 Cup     Cornmeal
¼ Cup    All-purpose Flour
2              Eggs
2 Tbsps  Hot Sauce
½ tsp      Cayenne Pepper
1 tsp       Paprika
1 tsp      Onion Powder
3 tsps    Garlic Powder
1 tsp      Black Pepper
2 tsps    Salt
              Canola Oil
Make sure your fish has been descaled, gutted and cleaned. In a small dish combine the eggs and hot sauce then whisk until well combined. In a separate dish combine the cornmeal, flour, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, paprika, salt and pepper. Dredge the fish in the egg wash then the cornmeal mixture then place on a wire rack. Using medium high heat, deep fry the fish for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes it is ready to serve.
